Root Can't open system settings

Title says it all... I cant find my system settings in my app drawer and when I try to open it from the notification bar, systemui crashes. I try to get into app info for any app and it says app is not installed, but the apps open and run just fine. Ideas?

hmm, you might want to try a factory reset, it sounds like something is seriously wrong with your device.

First though, try just removing the battery and restarting the device.

Also are you running any custom ROM's?

Tried factory reset and now cant re enable installation of non market apps or debug mode. cant restore apps from titanium. And no, this phone has no roms, only stock.

I wonder if deodexing the settings apk would allow reinstallation of it? (If i can enable installation of non market apps from the terminal emulator using a method i found on xda...)
