Help Can't play music through usb in car

Hey, I have some problems with playing music through usb in my car.

I connect the phone in the usb with the cable that I charge my phone with and I select " Disk drive "
But when I go into the original music program on the phone ( Htc desire )
I get a message: You cant acces your Sd-card with usb is active as a disk drive, unplug usb and try again.
Probally because the phone cant read og write while disc drive is mounted.
And I try to open a program called spotify but it shut down as soon as I open it.

Anyone know if there is some apps or something I can do to fix this?

When you mount your memory as disk drive, it is no longer accessible to the phone.

If you want to play music on the phone through the car's stereo, there are two options (with variations).

1. Set phone as disk drive and use car stereo (mp3 capable) to read the disk drive (phone memory) and play music. The car stereo is reading the phone memory like a USB stick. Not all mp3 stereos with USB ports are compatible with a phone's USB.

2. Use the phone to play music and plug a cable into the headphone jack into the AUX input of your car stereo (most aftermarket stereos will have phono jacks in the back or an input jack in the front), some late model cars will have the input jack in the front of the factory stereo.

In option 1, you are controlling the music on the car stereo, in option 2, you are controlling the music on the phone (the car stereo is merely amplifying the music).
