Can't read messages....HELP!

AnnetteDoor

Lurker
I deleted a bunch of emails from my phone, and now I can't read or open my emails as it gives me the error message "Phone storage is full. delete some files to free space". What do I do? I think my smart phone is smarter than I am! Help!

First, those two things have nothing to do with each other. Typically, e-mails are stored in the cloud and only displayed on your phone.

Your problem is low storage. It is a problem many low end phones have. To solve it, clear up some room on your internal storage. Remove apps (or move to SD card), clear app cache, delete old text messages. This should be part of routine maintenance for older phones.

Deleting text messages always seems to do the trick for some people, as a lot of us are unknown about how much space texts actually take up on your device. It is suggested with a small internal storage to set a text limit.

Meaning: That in the default messaging app you can set a limit where once a text is added to the thread if it exceeds the number of maximum texts it will delete the oldest text. This way you will never encounter errors because of too many texts. :)
