I had a look through the forum and haven't found anyone with the same problem. Please help!

Phone: HTC Desire S
Android Version: 2.3.3
Sense Version: 2.1
SIM Provider: China Unicom
I woke up this morning to find that my phone did not recognize either my SIM card or my SD card. It hadn't been turned off - just left it on over night as I normally do. It was not even charging. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary and it had been at least 3 days since I downloaded any apps.
I've restarted the phone, taken out both the cards, and even done a factory reset. The SIM works in other phones, HTC or not but not in my Desire S. I haven't had any luck with the SD card and am not quite ready to format that.
Any ideas or help would be really appreciated. Thanks!!!
