This box has been buggy for the couple of weeks I've had it, but now I've lost sound and from what I can see, that's a developing known issue. What bugs me more is that it doesn't perform a factory reset. I tried both going through the menu AND the reset button at the back of the box - no dice.
I made sure that all the options were turned OFF for backing up my data. I have another M box that's actually cheaper and works great. I can send this little beast back to Amazon but would prefer to fix it if possible.
I also have a Roku connected to the same TV - there's sound on the TV, and interestingly enough there are button sounds on my M box, just not on any of its apps. I checked Kodi, Netflix and YouTube - none of them have sound.
Here's what else I've done:
1. Cleared cache (don't think it's clearing - another bug with this box)
2. Toggled between HDMI auto-detect both ON and OFF, in the display menu
3. Toggled with the Digital audio auto-detection ON and OFF, and toggled between the digital audio output options
4. Uninstalled and reinstalled the apps
5. Re-seated the HDMI cable
6. Sworn at it and given it the evil eye. (Yes, I know it's not official tech, but it was either that or beat it into submission, which would void my warranty.)
