I recently updated my Xperia 10 after much sturm und drang...just backing it up was practically impossible! However, I can see my purchased apps on the memory card, but they will not restore using the "backup and restore" application. It tells me they "were not purchsed through Android Market." Well, I'm not sure where I purchased them, perhaps from the developers website, but I want to restore them without having to re-purchase them! There is no record of purchases on my google account. They are android apps and DO appear in the Android Market so why can't I restore them?! I am really super ticked-off about this. I feel like I live in China and am under some totalatarian regime and not allowed to do what I want with my phone! HELPPPPP!

Restore the market links by doing this
From the homescreen, go to settings/apps/manage apps, find the market and click "clear data"....clear cache too if it will let you. Reboot your phone and open the market, your links should be restored now. As for reinstalling them, use a file manager like Astro. Gonna have to do them 1 by 1 but it's better than not having them, right?
