Hi all new to these forums.
getting a new phone on the 15th. have used these forums to try and make a decision on a phone comming from a tilt 2 esshhhhhh:o

Tilt 2.. wow. There's a name from the past. It was a good phone back then. Welcome!

a toss between the inspire and the infuse, gonna be 2 years before next upgrade.. yep att, i have been leaning to the inspire, atrix seems a bit plastic as the infuse.

my main issue is if i buy a product i expect it to work as describbed !

i know funny frame of thought,
so any push in a direction would be helpfull:cool:

All three have their pro's and con's. Given that choice I know which I'd prefer, but it is not based on anything but personal preference. I have always liked the feel of HTC phones in my hand. The Atrix is more powerful, but I don't like motoblur. The Infuse has the better screen.

If I had to rate them on a scale of 1 - 100, I'd put them at 94.1, 94.2 and 94.25.

yea, after sitting lurking on this forum for last 3 weeks ive been wrestling between the infuse and the inspire, noticed enuf peeps here would rather go muslim on samsung and stone them,
but from what ive seen the screen is nice power a bit better but text is laim.
this is a company phone so rooting is not really going to be possible, that and i havent a window seat on the clue train to do it with out making it a paper weight.

Going completely stock, here are the issues from my perspective. The Inspire has smaller screen, smaller battery and smaller memory. However, it is HTC and has SenseUI which is often preferred over TouchWiz and HTC has a better track record with OS updates. Since it's a company phone and you won't be rooting (as if they'd know ... wink wink, nudge nudge) rootability isn't an issue. The infuse's screen is stellar and the battery on my Samsung phone is much better than on my current HTC. I'm not sure what you mean about texting.

In my opinion Samsung is like the AT&T of manufacturers ... they get a lot of crap they don't deserve. Really it's a tossup. If you can get one of each in your hands, go with the one that "feels" right. Can't explain it, you have to do it.

lol dont get me wrong i care less if they know im more worried bout bricking the phone due to incompetence, i dont know what im doing lol !
hay im old what you spect!

hard decision had htc for like 6 years wife has thunderbolt.
{now hate wife},,,

by noon cst ill be in store tomorrow fondling both, i see att has lte comming.

so here is a good question can either of these 2 phones recieve/ work on lte?
is it a sim upgrade or a physical mechanical deal?

meaning i have to pray that sometime before july 15th i can exchange!

the race is on infuse or inspire uggg i hate these decisions ! :D

As an Inspire owner, I'm probably biased. That aside, I do love the Inspire. Its really a solid phone for a pretty small price tag and will likely be able to do everything you'd need it for. The Infuse appears to be a nice phone as well, but as I've never used one for more than an in-store trial, I can't really comment on how it would perform in everyday use. My wife has a Captivate, and while I like her phone, I much prefer the build quality on my Inspire and would rather have Sense UI than Samsung's TouchWiz. It just looks and runs better in my opinion.

ok, after looking thru the 2 forums inspire/infuse. im now leaning to the infuse,
im a biker im a lil ruff on stuff like i said towards the top if i pay for something that brags abilities i expect to get what it says it can do :rolleyes:,,, {dont say it}

im hoping that once i go into store i will have enuff user experiance from this site to make a good decision between the 2 phones.

i do drop stuff, i use phone in bars a LOT, hehe, i go on runs a lot meaning dirt, tatas, and road grime.

this said anyone who has used or owned both or what not plz fire off and let me know thanks in advance!
:cool:

To answer your question earlier, both phones are not LTE capable so you might want to consider this before locking yourself down to a 2 yr. commitment. If you do decide to take the plunge, I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. Both are powerful single core devices that will be able to handle anything you can throw at it, and aside from the better screen on the infuse, the differences are cosmetic. Either you prefer Sense UI or touchwiz UI.

I have the Inspire but plan on upgrading to the rumored HTC Holiday this summer, which should be AT&T's first dual core - LTE device.

reason im not waiting, {hope before july15th lte phone is avail}
i have a tilt 2, its a pos. earpiece no longer works right need phone 1 month ago,

i think im more interested in durability than functionality!
stupid yea, i know im worried that samsung might be a more fragile phone over the htc. :eek:

I can't speak for the Infuse but the Inspire is one nice piece of engineering ingenuity. It has a single aluminum uni-body build that has a solid heft to it. Nothing too big to make it heavy and obtrusive but enough weight to give you that solid feel as if you're holding something that has worth to it. If you understand what I mean.

I've had a plethora of smartphones and it is by far the best build quality of any device I've ever owned.
