Can't see SD media folder when connected to computer

Hi

I would like to add songs to have a different notification for text messages to phone calls. I have seen from Tips where I need to put them but when I connect my phone to the computer I can't see a folder "sdcard". I can see various folders within the phone, eg photos but not this one.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks

sdcard is your sd card (root of it) i mean that is a place where you should start and don't look for sdcard folder.
so connect your device to computer use as data drive then look for folders media and then go to audio/ringtones where you put your chosen ringtones
good luck :)

Thanks gie62001

I have a media folder in a DCIM folder but there are only photos in it but there is no folder with audio or ringtones.

Thanks for your reply.

in DCIM folder you should have 100MEDIA folder and not media if you have media folder there check what's in it as it might me the one with audio and then notifications
if not then you can easily create one yourself in root of sd card make new folder of media
then inside create
audio folder and then notifications and there put your ringtones ok?
\audio\notifications

If you dont have the media folder, then create it as per the guide.

The DCIM folder isnt the place to put it. It must be in the root of the SD card.

Hi nx1977

I've put it in the DCIM folder and it seems to be working but I'll move it.

I will get the hang of this I'm sure.

Thanks for your help.
