Root Can't seem to update to 4.1.57

Hello , I'm having trouble updating to 4.1.57. Sorry if this has been talked about before, I haven't been able to find anything on this. I am rooted using the super one click. I have been getting the notification to update. Every time I tried it it would go thru the process then stop and show a symbol, a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. I then tried unrooting and updating but the same symbol shows up also. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I'm new to this so I don't think I did. I didn't change any settings or knew about freezing. I just did the root from a tutorial and didn't change anything else. How would I know if I did ?

If you used any mods (like the web top mod) then the update won't install. It's best they you don't update yet without reading on how to update and still maintain your root. There's posts that can help you, they really helped me

I agree. If you have rooted then just chill for now and read up on xda forums and here on how to update. Remember you are rooted so you can do some cool stuff in the meantime. For a novice hacker you want to be very carefull that you don't brick your phone. Because if you do, being a novice means it will be very difficult and frustrating to un brick it like an advanced user could

I was having a problem updating to any new version. I had rooted my phone, and replaced the splash screen. When I would download OTA it would hang with the !Android screen. So I reset to stock but still had a problem. The splash screen was still the new one, and think that was preventing the updates.

So I downloaded the Windows software updater from Motorola:
Software Update Landing Page - Motorola Mobility, Inc. USA

and ran that while phone was connected via usb. So now back to rooting!
