Can't send email

Good Morning, I have a quick question I hope. My boss was in Bermuda last week and changed some settings on his phone so he wouldn't be charged roaming fees for incoming email. Now he can receive email but cannot send. If I look in his outbox all his email from last week are still there. Any idea what setting he may have changed and how I reset it?
