Help cant uninstall IMDb app

I downloaded & installed the IMDb app from android market on my SGS. When I go to the Downloads section of the Market, I see a (infinite) progress bar on IMDb app, status shows it is currently installing. However, the app is already installed & works fine.

Now, the biggest problem is that I can't uninstall it because it is constantly in "installing" mode. Restarting the phone didn't help.

Please let me know how I can get rid of this app.
 
The same happened with me on HTC Desire Froyo and Market 2.0.7.
I uninstalled the market, so now it stopped the installation of Wefi stuck in the installation infinite loop.

After surfing more online forums, I found that this is a defect with Android Marketplace app & has little to do with the actual app being installed.

The instructions provided in the following thread resolved my issue:

To summarize:

* Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications
* Select Market app
* Clear cache & uninstall updates
