Help Can't update apps in the market?

Whenever I try to update my apps such as Facebook, Google mail, etc. in the market, it just keeps saying "starting download..". My phone is a HTC Wildfire S. Anyone got a solution for this?

If you cancel the download, thens start it again manually, does that make a difference.

This is one of the biggest annoyances I am finding with my Wildfire S - downloading can be so hit and miss at times. I often find, that to fix it, I have to go in to Manage Applications, All Applications, scroll down to and select Market then hit the delete data button. Restart the phone and the downloads start working again.
