can't update, says modified.

I check for updates periodically and when I checked this morning it says update unavailable, device modified.
My device is totally stock. Any idea as to what is up?
 
It was special ordered through bestbuy. It just updated to JB.
Could something be tickex or not ticked in the developer options?
 
did a reformat with samsung backup, did not work. Did a complete system wipe and it works now.

Brain fart i guess.
 
I had that problem but after googling I read that removing your memory card, rebooting and reinsertjng should cure it. It worked for me
