Help Cant update to froyo get (status 7) help please

Make sure the file is called Update.zip and is located in the root of your SD card. Sometimes, Windows or another OS may mangle the filename.

If you're sure the filename is correct, then perhaps there is something wrong with the file. Download it again.
 
look i had froyo then i like i rooted my phone and installed a rom then the rom came out to be bad so then i needed to go back to stock and so i followed the steps to go back to stock and i thought it came out good bout when i try to update it comes out saying error (status7)

mine is status 7 too, but with virgin_live and thinkfree.apk. I need to flash stock 2.1, help anybody??
 
I'd call Samsung. They must have a way to restore the Baseband / force a full flash to a given rev.

This was copied from your picture above. The problem is reported as being an error in your update.zip file on the SD Card. someone above gave the advice to Delete that file and re-download it again. That should fix the issue unless you are out of space on the 2GB SD card that came with the phone originally. Then you should probably clear space or buy a bigger T-flash card and then re-download and install.
