cant upgrade in store

Called att to see if i was able to upgrade, they said yea, i called the store and asked they told me they were not allowed to do the upgrade there and i would have to order it over the phone. why?!? anybody have experience with this?
 
when you say upgrade, do you mean "eligible for a subsidy upgrade". this is when ATT says your out of your 2yr data contract and they will subsidize your Galaxy Note LTE for $299 if you sign up for another 2yr data contract.

if so, yes.. they can upgrade you in the store, online and on the phone.
 
well im not eligible for that, but i can do the 250+299 thing, but they told me its iphone only so i cant do this is stores because the manager cannot override it, but i had friends go in and get it over rode, are they just blowing smoke up my ***?

Paying 250+299 is prettymuch buying out your contract just to sign a new one. This is a new trick that I've seen Sprint trying to pull, and now apparently AT&T. Don't ever do this. Buy your phone for the off contract price, either the LTE or the International version and just have it activated, or wait until you have an actual upgrade.

that was my initial plan, but my grandfather, the account owner got angry that i was gonna spend 650 for a phone, so i called att and told them that i wanted a new phone, and they waived all the fews. thanks to a super nice lady on the on the phone i should have my note by monday! =D
