Help Can't upgrade tablet OS

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade tablet OS by going into About Tablet, but there is no option to even search for updates. Why is this?

Here are the tablet's details:

Android Version: 4.2.2
Firmware Version: v2.0
Kernel Version: 3.4.39; zhqxu@Ubuntu #1

Isn't there 'system updates' at the top?

If not, I'd guess it's never gonna see an update

You have said who the manufacturer is. But Settings > About > Software Updates is a standard Android menu, so it not being there seems very odd. The only reason I can think of is that the manufacturer removed it when they built the software. That is very unusual - it's common for budget devices from unknown makers never to get updates, but most leave the menu item there.
