Can't use front cam on skype with android 2.3??

My wife has a Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate, originally a Telus one, but now unlocked and on another network. At any rate, I recently upgraded to Android 2.3 so that she could use the front camera on the phone for skype video calls. Even with the 2.3 upgrade I cannot get skype to recognize that there is a second camera. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a known fix?

I just read that the Telus version of this phone doesn't even have a front facing camera. Bogus!!! Ridiculous that they dropped that feature.
