Cant use juice defender, what now?

I had a mesmorize for years and juice defender rocked. But now I have the samsung galaxy s3 and juice defender and wifi dont like each other.

What are you using in place of it?

You don't really need it on newer Android devices from what I've read around these forums. You can use Tasker if you want to have settings change according to where you are or time of day etc if you'd like though.

nothing... juice defender sucks... kills your services to save battery. so wifi gets turned off, txt msg, voice mail, ect. you get things super late... to me it causes more problems than solutions.

if you want better battery life... change the screen brightness to low or auto (lower is better and only turn it higher or on auto when you need it). Dont have facebook sync, change email refresh to once an hr. (i have push which kills my battery... honestly i dont need to check my email that often but i work next to a charger all day so i dont mine it). Turn gps off, if you have wifi use it... it saves battery vs 3g/4g. Those are just a few tips... there are more things you can do but give these a try first.

Wow lol.

Anyways, on a more friendly note. For good battery life I would follow the tips noted above. I think the most important 1 is to use wifi whenever available. My old HTC Thunderbolt had about a 1300mah battery and I could get a full day of use out of that. This Samsung Galaxy S 3 has a 2100mah battery I believe. You should have no issue going a full day on 1 charge as long as you are not streaming music and movies all day long through 3G or 4 G.
