Help Can't use Titanium Backup OR Rom toolbox

Well to be honest I can "use them", but not to uninstall bloatware applications. Titanium Backup gets stuck at Asking for Root Rights, despite the fact that I allowed it superuser access Rom Toolbox seems to work in general but does not make any progress as far as uninstalling of programs Any idea what might cause this, or what programs might work on my rooted zte merit?

After fiddling around with Romtoolbox Lite for a little while, I managed to find my way into the file browser and have managed to delete several applications manually, is it standard that I should not be able to "uninstall" them from the "all apps" list via this application when rooted?

Well as I said I used the file browser via Rom toolbox to delete the actual .apk, but it wouldn't let me uninstall.. so you're saying I should very well be able to do both? Seems odd that a) I can't get titanium to run at all, and b) can't uninstall files directly using rom toolbox..

Okay so go ahead and add to the list of things my phone won't do properly post root-- Link2SD will not properly move files to the sd card.. it just gets stuck at that loading bar

Are you using a stock ROM?

I don't know exactly what you mean, to be honest.
I used the "no pc needed" method where I uploaded update.zip, as well as a root.zip to my sd card, rebooted and wiped it clean, then installed the root.zip from the CWM update
and now I am attempting to use Rom Toolbox Lite to delete bloatware programs (Could not uninstall had to find in root directory and delete)

And I cannot use Link2sd to move items around, it's really quite frustrating.. I'm trying now to find the apps int he root directory and move them over that way but I can't seem to figure it out

very odd. when you open superuser and scroll to the left does it say a bunch of stuff in green? including "rwrsw rs root" kind of stuff?

it seems like its not giving the moving apps the right permission. but you CAN delete system stuff? weird.

and you can't manually move to the sdcard and have your programs work, so give that up.

maybe do a good ole factory reset and hope for the best. im stumped on this one.

I'm just going to let it go.. apparently using the handsets restore backup, I changed it to system restore to the rooted version.. Or I assume, becuase all the junk I deleted from the system/apps folder is no longer installed even after a factory reset. I have tried this with no luck. Oh well. Honestly, i'm pretty unhappy with this device, guess that's what I get for buying a $100 android handheld :P

I like the phone. Nice phone to mod. A factory reset will not bring back apps that you deleted tho. It won't on the higher end ones ether. That is why you made a Nandroid before you started. You can't have any spaces in the name of the folder or you will get a mismatch error.

Hi sorry to revive and old thread but did anyone find a solution to this problem as I recently rooted and am having the same problem. Pretty sure used the exact same rooting method think there is just a setting somewhere that is fouled up please help thanks in advance
