Help Can't zoom using camera?

Hello, tried to zoom in using the camera today but no luck. I assumed the volume buttons would do it but all they did was change the ringer volume.. Nothing in the settings either.

Is it incapable of zooming or am I missing something??
 
It might be that it can't zoom when the resolution is set at maz. That's what it's like with my phone, though it's not a Galaxy S

To zoom using camera u must put two thumbs on the screen and moove phone forward or backward for zoom in and zoom out - just like the feature in browser. To see a demo u can go to settings - motion and watch the tutorials

I tried it, but no luck. I dont really need the zoom anyway, I only like it on camera with a fysical zoom.

Goodness!! Finally I got the camera zoom and video pause/rec feature on my Galaxy S Advance after updated with Jellybean..:)
