When I watch videos or just in general they won't shut off. Any ideas on how to shut them off.

clicking any of the buttons in the app (except the dim button) seems to make them turn off...but there's not way to turn them back on short of a reboot. Also, clicking the dim button displays an error message.
Any other apps like this to try that maybe have more control re on/off?
