capped speeds?

So I'm planning on switching to cricket from metro pcs, but I've heard that they cap the speeds at 8mbps. Is that true? I'm curious because I get up to 80mbps with metro pcs.

Yes, Cricket does cap 4G LTE speeds to 8Mbps.

Yes its true but in real world use you shouldn't notice the capped speeds..

I stream hidef Netflix and video daily with no issues.. Stream music with no buffering and web loads extremely fast

Also with T-Mobile capping their in house prepaid at 8mb down recently I'm sure metro is soon to follow! Just my guess and is nothing official lol

Yep, as far as streaming goes Netfilx and Youtube both currently work fine at 5Mbps with HD video.

I don't notice the speed cap at all. I think of the speed cap like a data cap; I used to have unlimited data and now have a 3GB cap - but I only use about 1GB, so the cap is of no consequence.
