I would agree with your 9 on this one.
It was most excellent, and the presence of the Black Widow as a main character certainly helped that
I would find Sam Jackson's acting much more enjoyable if this was an R rated movie where he can be himself.
One thing that strikes me, but it's an inherent, unavoidable plot flaw of any of the standalone films in the Marvel Universe is this: In such a situation, why the heck would you not call in Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk? Now that these guys all know each other, you would think on such an important problem like this, you would call in all your firepower. These were my thoughts in Iron Man 3 and Thor 2.
Granted, I am willing to accept it because I realize that not every movie can or should be the Avengers.

Loved the flick. Definitely agree with your assessment.
Yeah, that's a good point and something I've heard brought up before. Someone said they just imagine the other Avengers are busy fighting another villain.
