I have been checking out how much storage I am using on my Captivate lately. When I first bought the Captivate, I quickly found out that it had 2 GB of space for storing Apps and System files, but not having an Android phone before, I didn't really know how much space that is. Come to find out, it's a lot! When I was running Eclair, I wasn't even using a quarter of that space, now that I am running Froyo have some of my Apps on my SD card, I'm using even less.
I haven't checked how much space other phones have for Apps, but it must be 512 MB or less if other people are complaining about not having enough space.
With 2 GB for Apps, 16 GB internal SD card, 4" SAMOLED screen, ROM with lag fix and GPS fix, I can see how awesome this phone really is. I just wish that Samsung would officially release Froyo, so that everyone else with a Captivate can see how great it is too (as long as they got a good phone without any hardware issues).
