Car bluetooth wont work with skype

Has anyone come across this problem with the Samsung Galaxy s2?? when in car my bluetooth works with all regular calls but will not work when I try to use skype. I have not managed to hold a regular skype conversation via the Samsung Galaxy s2 so am wondering what version of skype I should have downloaded to my phone, and where can I find it??

If anyone could help I would be very grateful.
