Car chargers

I have the Samsung Mesmerize (U.S. Cellular.) I see that there is a dash-mount car charger made for the phone. My question is: Is there any harm to the battery if you leave the phone charging on an all-day trip, especially if you were constantly using a navigation app, such as "Your Navigator Deluxe" that comes w/us cellular phones?

None at all. In fact, if you are planning to use your phone as your GPS Nav system, you won't be able to do an all day trip WITHOUT a car charger of some kind. I did that once, and I didn't make it 4 hours before it was almost dead.

No. Li ion cells are li ion cells. The brand and model of the device don't matter. The type of charger doesn't matter. It's safe (and recommended) that you keep li ion cells topped off.
