car docking for Galaxy S3

Hi There

My name's Clare, I'm new around here. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 running on Jelly Bean. I love it, but am definitely not using all it's capabilities! I need schooling

My current problem is trying to find a solution to dock the S3 in my car. I want to be able to charge it, see the screen and use it for maps, calls and music, preferably without having to touch the screen much. I guess my main need is to be able to call someone if I get a bit held up on my commute. Is there any way to do all this and if possible use s voice or something to make it hands free?

If that's asking a bit much, just a docking station that works properly in-car would be good. I know there are some issues with car docking and Jelly Bean, is there a way around this without rooting?

Annoyingly, it's not available in the UK until the end of the month Do you know if it will be completely compatible with JB?

As always, the UK is behind the US with all things technical, so I'll have to wait! I hate waiting

I'm not positive about the JB compatibility. There were some issues early on but I think they've been resolved.

I imagine I'll either need to take a risk getting it then, or wait longer and see what others find. I expect I'll risk it, I'm not patient enough to wait longer and hopefully they've been resolved.

Will it work with Car Home Ultra, or are there other apps I should be thinking about?

It does work with Car home Ultra, maybe one of the best dock apps out there but iBolt also has a free dock app of their own which does some of the same things...

Any idea if this is resolves cos I'm thinking of getting one of these but wanted to wait till the USB audio output problems are sorted
