Car ignition interferes with navigation

Subaru Outback 2013
Galaxy Slll (Verizon)
Blue tooth works well. Navigation works well including audio. However, when the car's ignition is on and blue tooth is activated, the audio of the navigation doesn't work. The screen navigation is fine but the voice is mute. If I turn off blue tooth, even if the ignition is on, the voice returns. Verizon tells me it's the car. The car dealership is baffled. Me too.

Do you have another blue tooth device to test it with like a head set? It does seem like more of an issue with the car.
