Accessories Car mount and sound

Does anyone know how do you make the sound come out the audio jack of the car mount? I returned one thinking it was defective but the other one does the same so now I'm thinking there must be a setting some where since it need to be redirected through the usb port

Supposed?? Guess I'll return it and wait to make sure. It would suck if they didn't...heck it sucks now. Why not just make it a straight pass through. then its compatible with any version. Silly
 
It states on the packaging with the desk dock (which has an audio out port) that the port will work once 2.2 is released.
But, being that this can't be tested yet..... No one can say for sure.

I suppose it could be hidden on it somewhere I didn't read every word and assumed it would have a way to plug in audio. It just doesn't make sense to me. VZW apparently ins't aware of it as I returned the first one saying "the audio out doesn't work". (But then again does that surprise anyone)

I wonder how many SS are getting back for this. Must be costing them something. It seems like a pass through plug would have been just fine and worked for any version.
