Accessories Car mount with shell

Can you use the Verizon shell (holster combo) with the car mount with out taking off the shell when putting it in the dock?

From what I've read in these forums, there is an insert you can take out of the car dock but even when that has been taken out they still have to remove a tab on the dock itself.
