Help 'car panel' problem

Hey all. My son and I both have inspires running stock froyo. Yesterday morning , out of the blue, the home screen from the car panel app started popping up randomly, on his device, Approximately every 15 minutes or so. Each time it happened, he would pull up the menu and exit the app. But still it would pop right back up after a few minutes. Being a bloatware app , he couldn't uninstall it. I don't know whether he's attempted the battery pull that I suggested this evening, but in the event that this doesn't solve the problem, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on a solution. Hey...I am currently facing the same issue on my Desire HD

Along with that, whenever i try to call someone or get a call, my phone turns on the loudspeaker on its own.

I have to turn it off manually

Both of these problems started simultaneously so i am supposing they both have the same cause

Did you find any solution to the problem as the people on the community have not replied to any forum relating to the car panel problem

My phone has also recently started having these problems. The car panel turns on randomly and speakerphone automatically turns on when I answer calls.

Anyone have any advice? My eardrums would be so thankful!

hopefully you've been backing your phones up, and keep your contacts on google. If it were me, I would restore the phone to factory defaults and start over. That is if you're opposed to rooting, because that is probably the best option...

You need to get a can of compressed air and blow it into the charging port.. Hope it works .. =)

You need to get a can of compressed air and blow it into the charging port ...

+ 1 to the previous advice. DO NOT do a factory reset. It will not help at all, and it is a an unnecessary frustration. Also, try a new, brand name charger.
