Hey Chaps, first time here. I bit the bullet yesterday and rooted my Nexus 7 first time. All went well. Just before though, I backup up my data (not Apps) with Carbon (free version). The option to backup to computer never was visible to me like it's supposed to, so I chose to backup onto device.
Now, on the Android in Internal Storage> was a "carbon" folder, it had loads of com. folders, which would each contain a .nomedia, .ab and a picture named after the folder (app com.) name, which was the icon pic. So assuming this was all the stuff I backed up, I copied the carbon folder to my Desktop. Rooted / formatted, reinstalled carbon and went ahead and placed that carbon folder back in my internal storage right where it was before. But when I run carbon on my Nexus and go to restore, the list is simply blank and doesn't recognize my carbon folder ' backups. I've checked through all the app settings to no avail. Also when I use the Desktop app, the server address it creates doesn't load anything, just a dead web page.
Please help anyone??? Is it possible to restore this data with another app or is it locked to carbon or something?
Much thanks for any help
