carrier name not appearing on new Note 9

I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and for some reason the Carrier name does not appear on the top left of the screen like it did on my S7 edge.

The Note 9 is model SM-960U1 and it is running stock Android 9

on my note 8 i have sprint and i hate it that it is there to be honest with you

What’s your carrier?

I’m on T-Mobile and dont have that on any of my 3 note 9s. All running latest firmware.

It’s most likely normal for your carrier.
