Case , car Dock or home Dock ?

If you just had to choose one which would you chose ?

Im partial to the home dock . It really just looks cool when its docked up like that . I also wake up early and would like to use it as a alarm and it looks badass as a alarm clock .

Home dock for me....I have nav in my car so the car dock is not that important to me. But I want to protect it so I will look for some type of case in addition to a solid screen protector.

If I had to choose one then I would choose the car dock. Much more practical since you can use it with Google Navigation.

I would choose the car dock if I had to choose only one. Having the droid in the dock will definitely keep idle hands at bay.

I'm grabbing 2 car docks (1 for the wife), and a the mm dock. I'll get a case later once I can sift through some options.

I would choose the home dock. I hate fiddling with the charging cable at night, trying to plug it into the phone in the dark. But who am I kidding? I'm getting all three!

The only issue I forsee is I have not found a rugged case for this phone and when I do, you can bet it will not fit in the cradles the Motorola designed for this phone.

Exactly - I put a Droid in my multimedia (home) dock today, and it is snug...

I've heard phone batteries are still somewhat susceptible to a variant of memory loss? Any truth to this? My Samsung Alias has been losing it's charge after a year's worth of use and apparently I heard it has something to do with charging the phone, using it, charging it before it is fully drained, over and over again until the battery starts to charge less and less. Will that be more of a problem if I'm docking it every night so I wake up at 7 o'clock in the morning every day minus weekends and holidays?

I think most people charge their phones at night when they go to sleep.. I could be wrong about that.. but it is what I've been doing for 2 years with my iPhone.

I used to charge it every 3 nights, but it's now down to every other night, and now it looks like it's coming down to every night.

I don't know, I've gotten into the habit of trying to get the battery as low as possible without it dying on me in the middle of the day.

Cell phones use lithium ion batteries, which have no memory. A lithium ion battery lasts for a certain number of charge cycles, a charge cycle being from completely dead to completely charged. So if the battery's life cycle is 500 charges, you can charge it back, up from completely dead 500 times. If the battery is at 90% and you top it off, you can do that 10 times and it will only equal one charge cycle.

I wouldn't say that's typical, it could be a defective battery. The battery should last at least a year, which is why they will replace them under warranty within the first year.
