Accessories Case-mate metallic cripples performance

Ciao e tutti,

Recently tried a Case-mate htc desire barely there metallic silver case.

It looks great & fits perfectly but screws up WiFi & mobile internet performance something rotten. I have returned to a two-piece plastic case now. You would think they would check these things wouldn't you?

It would be interesting to know if the non metallic Case-mates interfere with performance too.

I use a Case-Mate Barely There in the matt black colour without any adverse effects.

A plastic case shouldn't block the signals.

The desire has multiple antennas (wi-fi, GPS,fm-radio to name a few.....), any type of case with a metal content WILL affect performance. Doh.......
