Cases for Galaxy S3

I have an Elago slim case bought from amazon.com. Love it. It comes in many different colors and it is so thin that you can barely notice the difference. I got it just so the phone wouldn't slip out of my pocket at work. Case leaves holes for the buttons making them simple to press and has just enough grip without being jelly or sticky. It snaps right onto the phone and leaves the top and bottom open. The sides come up just enough in case you want to put the phone face down without the screen touching the surface. Give it a look on amazon.com. If you just want better grip it's well worth $9. Well made and incredibly light case. Oh and they are made in the US (California) shipping from there to PA took about 3 days. A lot better than waiting for overseas shipping.

I have the Elago Breath case. Just got it in the mail today from Amazon. I like the way it looks with the tiny little holes all over it that let the phone's color show through (the only difference from the slim case). Very low profile with just enough protection from scuffs, scratches, and maybe a low drop to the ground. I thought about an otterbox, but I had one for my Razr and never used it because it took away from the thinness of the phone.

I have a black otterbox commuter case on the white gs3
Looks awesome. I used to have one on my iphone 4 and it was the best case i ever owned. :)

I have the commuter and its pretty damn good. It SLIDES into your pocket without getting hung up on anything. It really protects too. I took off the screen protector and feel very safe since this case has a protective lip around it so the the screen touching anything is minimal.
I have dropped it a few times and it has survived everytime. I don't like belt

Does the commuter case make the phone bulky?

I dunno about the Commuter but I have the Defender and that really bulks up my phone. My understanding is that Otterbox cases are hefty and bulky. They might have slimmer ones compared to their more protective cases and as a whole, their cases are more protective than sleek.

I got the Case-Mate Phantom and holster. This thing is a beast. It has a built in screen protector and port covers. It feels very premium and looks good. If I was to compare this to the Defender using cars as examples, I'd say the Phantom is a GT-R, while the Defender is a Civic. The Civic looks like it can go fast and sounds like it's going fast, but at the end of the day, it's just a Civic.

Thanks for the input on the otterbox cases. I just ordered the commuter case to give it a try. Ordered it from Amazon for $23 which I thought was a pretty good deal.

I have an otterbox commuter case for my phone. It's the sky blue one and I love it. It adds a little bit of mass to your phone, but not like the Defender. I have no problem getting it in or out of my pocket and I actually like the feel of the additional weight. Accidentally dropped my phone face first off my desk at work, with the case on, and not a single scratch or crack :) I am thinking about getting one more case just because I'd like to have something I can put on my hip.
