Hello.
I'd like to recommend You yet another alarm clock - Caynax Alarm Clock.
Application has different approach to creating alarm. Alarms are categorised into groups: everyday, workdays, cyclic, timer and any. You can sort alarms by groups, time or time when alarm is enabled.
To dismiss alarm You can choose option to solve math problem or complete/arrange citation You had to remember first.
Beside default android skin application has 3 different themes.

Application is on Android Market:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.caynax.alarmclock

Next release will probably have widget that says what next two alerts are.
If you have any suggestions please let me now.

Version 2.3 was released. If You have any ideas let me know :).

NEW: new application icon
NEW: added application support for Android: 3.0, 3.1, 3.2
IMPROVEMENT: added option to backup/restore application settings (alarms default settings)
OTHER: new settings in hourly chime, small improvements and fixes

Small update was released:

NEW: Android default light skin
IMPROVEMENT: added option to choose between old/new alarm window dialog layout
IMPROVEMENT: added option to vibrate in hourly chime

Hello. Another version:

NEW: added Deutsch (de) translation (by Nikolai Grube)
NEW: added option to set hourly chime at :30
NEW: added option to dismiss alarm by long click
IMPROVEMENT: 'Increasing ringtone' can increase up to set alarm length value (1 minute max so far)
IMPROVEMENT: updated italiano (it) translation

I'm also thinking to place language resources as downloadable plugin. That would result in at least 300kB less in apk size. The same could be done with skins. I've got to do some tests will it be efficient.

Hello.
I have release version 2.4.1:
NEW: application supports external translations as language pack
NEW: Caynax Alarm Clock can be set as default alarm clock
FIX: When screen got unlocked there was widget time value update lag
FIX: 'Any alarm' decreased alarm hour by one when because new winter time
BUG: when logging operations was enabled and user entered alarm settings

As said before application doesn't have built-in plugins == less apk size ;].
You can download plugins from Android Market.
Work with translations as plugins was some kind of test. Now the same will be done with application skins == less apk size and later new skins to download.

In version 2.5 I have added option to save alarms list to xml file :) so You don't have define them again after app reinstall.

2.6:

NEW: Some resources are loaded from external "Theme files". Please download them to use current application skin. Next app version won't have internal skins - they are available as separate files - even smaller alarm clock size :) - new skins soon :).

FIX: "Snooze button" couldn't be clicked when user selected "Math" or "Citation" alarm clock, then marked "Solve problem to snooze" and got back to "Traditional" alarm clock

2.6.1:

NEW: added support for Chinese Simplified (简体中文) language pack (translation done by Huang Xiaochuan)
IMPROVEMENT: additional alarm time verification after alarm list restore from xml file
FIX: digital clock layout
FIX: menu wasn't translated when default Android theme was set

Ps. Remeber to download themes if You use ones.

Looking for: Japan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, India, Korea, Egypt, Belarus, Finland translators :)

I noticed the math problems are very easy and I would like problems that are hard enough that I would become fully awake in trying to solve them. Is there a way that we could add our own problems? Ideally I would like to put in chess positions. Having the app know the answer is not necessary as once I see a tough problem I have to try to solve it and am generally fully awake in the process.

I thought about it. Lately I'm using it in this app:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.caynax.a6w

But in alarm clock it's a little bit risky. If it fail (and it may, just like other 3rd parties.: weather, radio etc) You won't get up and blame me that ie. You were late to work.

Maybe I could add this with information that "You are using it at Your own risk. This feature depends on 3rd parites software that may fail.". Or something like that. I could also try to detect if it played or was dismissed. If it wasn't dismissed after let's say 1-5 minutes (available setting) I could play standard ringtone alarm.

3.2.1
WARNING - add widget to HOME screen again.
Notification and widget show how much time (more or less) is left for todays alarm (background service).
Next alarm notification moved to 'Ongoing'.
HourlyChime is no longer supported in alarm clock - download 'Caynax Hourly Chime' app from market.
Added proper notification icon for Android 2.3.x.
Added support for Slovak translation.
Various fixes and improvements.
