Root [CDMA] cdma sprint - downloaded OTA 4.0 update. reverted back to 2.3.4???

SOo i took root off and got the stock rom back from ruu.17


i then installed the OTA update from sprint about 4.0.3. I entered in my google account and the phone again shows gingerbread 2.3.4? WHAT GIVES?!

I understand you stated you removed root, however there may be other issues related to that process, so let's have this discussion here for now...

ok i redownloaded the OTA update and ran it. this time it stayed on ics. very strange behavior! thanks for your help guys.
