Root [CDMA] During rooting process phone does not display "Unlock Bootloader?" screen

Going through the HTC unlock process I get stuck on step 13 (Link) where fastboot seems to have written the unlock token successfully but the phone does not display the 'Unlock Bootloader?' screen and stays unlocked. I've recompiled the token, resubmitted it and received a new Unlock_code.bin file several times but none have brought up the unlock screen.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I've scoured the web and see that others have come across this roadblock but I could not find anyone who's got around it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Of course right after I post I find this: HTC Unlock Guide at the dev site (which it turns out is up in the stickies here). Gonna try the RUU in the morning. I'm beat after monkeying with this for as long as I have.

Remember using HTC way to unlock, does not give you S Off

For posterity, should someone in a similar circumstance stumble on this thread, running the RUU linked above did the trick for me.

I'm having the same issue, but my phone came with that software on it. So the ruu wouldn't do me any good.
