Have y'all seen this thread?

[important note] ICS LEAK FIRMWARE ZIP and DOWNGRADING (you wont be able to go back) - xda-developers

I am going to try to go back after the race and will post my results...

Even if we can not go back now, when sprint releases it may put us back to stock. I am also going to try to restore a nandroid and see if that restores all settings.

Also some people report sprint apps dont work or cant download. I restored all the ones i use from tb and all are 100% working.

Just a thought. If you have any thing to report on this issue please post and lets make a kb on this issue
 
It's starting to drive me a little crazy, too. But I think people are blowing it out of proportion. Hopefully Sprint gets tired of all these problems and 'leaks' their own copy. Because they have to know what's going on. Especially with people calling in asking for a profile reset.
 
Can't wait to see your results, that is why I didn't upgrade to flash ICS, I figured I waited this long what is a few more weeks or months, lol

:thumbup:All sprint settings are back, wimax and data, voicemail is working and speeds are better. Glad that developers blindly flashed the vm firmware too or we may be sunk!

And who said we are losing devs? not I
 
This has gotten quite interesting. Through trying to remove virgin (virus) mobile from my phone I have lost the ability to update profile and prl but am trying something atm to help get things right. Will let you know how this works.
 
Yep, I had a gut it would be an issue, that is why I decided to wait for Sprint to release their ICS first before I go playing with stuff. Now you could of tried to see if it would of worked without the upgrade, as there are some roms that are working for some without the VM upgrade, hope you can resolve this issue bro.
 
I've been one of the lucky ones, I guess. My WiMAX speed is the only thing that has been impacted, and it's still getting me 5-6 Mbps down. I'm guessing that'll go back up to 7-8 Mbps when I get actual Sprint firmware.
 
Can this phone, if flashed this way, be used on my service?

Please let me know, looking to upgrade my phone.

Freeza came up with a fix that seems to work for a good bit of people, but i am not one of them. Still working, another dev is working on an emmc partition restore that worked for him, however the issues here is these partitions virus mobile firmware messed up are the partitions with user and account info. One thought to fix this is to wait for the official sprint firmware, thinking it will overwrite these issues. the second thought is that if Chad can get his hands on a unactivated phone, he will be able to take the unwritten files and create a way for users to edit them on their own.

PS> Don most ICS roms work without the firmware update and need a small file Chad made to work.

One good thing is that i am learning a lot!

This is the fault of the community, who thought that the vm meant virgin (virus) mobile, not I but i was bored and got flash happy. Will try to keep updating fixes and hopefully there will be a 100% fix for all soon. Thank goodness i have a work smart phone or id be sunk :p
