So the GPE version of the Moto G just got the 5.0.1 Lollipop update. Does that mean us Xt1031 CDMA users will get it soon too?

Nope...gpe is pure aosp, no carrier testing or bloat. If I were a betting man I'd say end of the month or first of the year.
