How do i root it ?? I am a newbie so i want some clear steps please !

But many people on xda are experiencing bootloops and other problems and isn't it for hboot 1.4 ?
Read the 2nd post in that thread I mentioned, it is for GSM versions of your phone, I am not familiar with the GSM phone, so before you do anything make sure you ask in the GSM section at XDA , I say DO NOT FLASH a CDMA Rom on a GSM Phone. so do your homework before, HBoot 1.4 is for CDMA phone, not yours. This is the 2nd POST HERE

As mentioned, I don't have a GSM phone, so all I can do is guide you, I gave you the tools, you have to follow up on those, if the Sticky by Jerofld, is not good enough, then I gave you the link to the GSM thread over at XDA, post in there and see if someone can guide you there. Unfortunately there are not many that have a GSM phone here for some reason, or they don't like to post, so all I can do is guide you, I know your frustrated but you have to be patient until you find what you need, Good Luck hopefully someone here with a GSM phone will help you.
HOW DO I ROOT MY STOCK OTA ICS ROM (GSM) ??????????!?

How did you root? HTC Unlock or another method -
Are you S-off? CDMA or GSM
If you update you will lose root.....
