Root [CDMA] How do I find the MSL for my unrooted HTC Evo 3D?

Hi all,
I'm having trouble finding a way to get the MSL for my unrooted HTC Evo 3D without calling Sprint. After several tries I could not get it from them. I bought this phone from a friend who used to have Sprint service on it and I need the MSL to finish setting up new service with Straight Talk. I have tried using Terminal Emulator, ConnectBot and aLogcat without success. I have Android version 4.0.3 if that matters. Any help is appreciated! Thank you

I tried to but it is apparently not compatible with my phone. I am thinking I will have to root my phone for anything to work but I would rather not at this point. Thanks for your reply

Cdma workshop is a pretty standard tool with cdma phones. They have a trial version that should let you read the msl,and set it to 000000

I would just root it, its fairly easy. Besides, root is the best way to have your phone, IMHO.

Then get msl reader on playstore.

Had to do this for a new EVO 4g I got.

Once you get the msl, get in there and update profile. You Should be golden then.
