Root [CDMA] How do I obtain s-off?

I tried to go to htcdev to unlock but it doesn't work when I do the fastboot command. My bootloader is 1.4. I think that's the problem or I really don't know. Help >.<

If your HBoot is 1.4, then you need to use Revolutionary method,

S-Off (for Hboot 1.30 and 1.40):
Revolutionary Tool: Revolutionary
-Select your platform
-GET THE BETA KEYS!!
-Read the 'Revolutionary' faqs: http://unrevoked.com/rootwiki/doku.p.../revolutionary
-[GUIDE] http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1192245
Ok. It's asking me to get the beta key. I assume my evo is CDMA because that's the only type that allows me to get the hboot version 1.40.0000 which is my version. Then it asks me for my serial number. Where do I get that?

^+1 as MC mentioned, make sure you C&P, it says to be careful in the video that a space does not get in there by mistake, or token will not take. ;)

It took me like 3 tries of copying that stupid key for it to get accepted when I rooted originally. What I did to get it to work was copy/paste it from the browser to notepad, then copy/paste from notepad to the command prompt. Notepad strips out any odd formatting that may occur and screw up the copy/paste.
