So I had to use the "return to stock" method discussed in another thread in this forum. Which worked flawlessly, and I am thankful to the thread author.. The problem I'm having now though is that when I try to flash a custom recovery it aborts the installation. The only thing resembling a description as to why it does this is "qe 0/1". I get the same result whether I use adb, fastboot, or flashing from SD card. Bootloader is unlocked, status 3. Any suggestions?
