Root [CDMA] Phone dies unable to turn back on without a battery pull

Ok so I'm wondering about an issue with my 3D. It seems like every time it dies or I turn it completely off I am unable to turn it back on just by pressing the on button. I have to take off my otter box the back pull the battery and put it back in and then it is able to be started. Has anyone come across this issue and figured out the cause? This is really annoying and would like to fix the issue. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I run the following

I had this issue. It's the 3D Black Screen of Death.

Go to the stock rooted 1.13 rom, then apply the stock rooted 2.08 update - that will solve it.

I expect that any custom rom based on the 2.08 build will also fix this.
