Newbie
Hey I need Help.I got this evo 3D and its dead so when I try to charge it all it does is blink this drim red light and it won't start.I've try everything and nothing happens.HELP :(

Is it rooted?

Did it ever power up?

Have you changed the battery?

Have you tried a different usb cable?

Have you taken it in to a sprint repair facility?

Pull the battery out, put the battery back in. Hold Vol down + power. A white screen will come up. What does it say in the first line or two? Specifically, does it say LOCKED, UNLOCKED, RELOCKED, Revolutionary?

HBOOT 1.3, 1.4, or 1.5? S-ON or S-OFF?

Agree with xs....sounds Luke that battery is Very dead

I disagree the phone cant be more than 12 months old, far too new to have a dead battery, my bet is STILL on the recovery bug...
Try installing the hboot drivers on pc and leave it plugged in, cant see it working but worth a try....

You can disagree all you want but I had this issue one week into my phone. If you run the battery dead to 0% you will see it has this issue. I invite you to try it.

I'm thinking he bought a temp bricked phone, like in the downgrade process. If he can't access bootloader or even power on his phone then that dim red light should be the sign of a temp brick

To see if it's a recovery issue, you can buy a $5 wall charger off of a site like buy.com, pull the battery out, and charge it via the wall charger.

If the phone boots, it's because you have the recovery bug and we just need to flash a new recovery. If the battery doesn't take a charge, it's a bad battery, get a new one. If it doesn't boot, it may be that someone temp bricked it to try the downgrade. If it's the downgrade problem, then don't worry, there are ways of recovering it.

But we really need to know which problem you have. Get the wall charger and try to charge up your battery.
