Root [CDMA] Returning Boost Moto G after installing XT 1032 via rootjunky.com

Hi,

Long story, but I use my Moto G for a specific purpose to help manage his Type 1 Diabetes (see www.nightscout.info). A long time ago I paid a guy to help root the phone because I thought I needed to. I didn't. Then the phone started doing strange stuff, so I tried to return to stock using the www.rootjunky.com method. It worked great and restored the phone to XT 1032, but it looks like that's a problem with Boost/Ting phones because they are all on XT 1031.

So ... I know nothing, but I would greatly appreciate it if someone could give me a dummy guide to restoring to completely stock Boost firmware. I don't need to be rooted or anything at all, but I don't know how to do fancy things other than follow videos on YouTube (which is why I was able to pull of the rootjunky method.

I would greatly appreciate any kind help -- this for a good cause (medical device/watching my kid's blood sugar while away from me). Thanks!

-Ed

Hey Ed I have a couple questions for you.

A. Is your Boost Moto G on the Boost network for your service?

B. (If so) Have you seen our return to stock methods here?
http://androidforums.com/index.php?threads/826108/
If you're comfortable with this process its a great option. If you have any questions before starting I'd recommend asking in that thread.
C. Is your device running 4.4.4 and what baseband do you have? If your phone has a boost baseband and is on 4.4.4 and if you still have root you can probably flash this rom located here...

But again if you have any questions or concerns prior to flashing ask in the thread.

Both are relatively simple processes provided Boost is who you're using the device with. The Xt1031/32/34 and so on are just hardware variants. So don't let that confuse you.

Its on Ting -- but that is the same thing.

I read the posts and I can't understand how to actually follow the directions .... not even sure where to start other that downloading the zip file.

The rootjunky script that I ran made the phone 4.4.3, and in baseband is says "unknown"

Perhaps I am misdiagnosing the problem? Maybe I don't need to do the return to stock and I need to do something else? Really the issue is that it won't start wifi and it won't recognize any mobile carrier. Basically it has no connectivity and won't turn on its connectivity.

I'm back at square one -- what should I do. Maybe it doesn't matter that I loaded xt 1032? I just kind of assumed that was the problem.

All I can suggest because its been flashed or activated on Ting and I honestly have no idea how flashing process will effect your service, I recommend copying your OP and pasting it in the return to stock thread. Make sure to be clear that your carrier is Ting.
