Root [CDMA] Rooted my evo, now recovery isn't working

I just rooted my evo, with s-on, last week, and I started testing out other roms. The first couple of roms I didn't have a problem with. I'm currently running the tweaked synergy rom. I'm trying to try a new rom, and my recovery isn't working.

What exactly is it doing? Have u tried to reflash recovery?

The recovery won't bring me to revolutionary menu anymore, it reboots the whole phone and reloads Synergy Rom, which is the current rom on the evo. When I previously tried to flash the rom it would say "waiting on device".
