Root [CDMA] [rooted/unlocked] ICS update: phone will not boot

ok, well i have unlocked my HTC Evo3d but i had the stock Rom on it.

and i was upgrading to the ICS update and it makes my phone freeze on the loading screen

i dont have a back up as i lost it :(

i dont care what i lose i just wanna be able to use my phone again like normal.

if there is anyway to revert back to the way i had it before the lock or even a stock ROM

please help me as i am phoneless right now! :(

i had it but i went to the folder it was supposed to be in and it wasnt there.

is there any way i can download sprints stock Rom and flash that to my phone?

EDIT: i have to back up on my computer but when i load it onto my phone, it doesnt let me select it as a .ZIP

i have TWRP 1.1 on the phone

what i wanna do is remove that and put the stock one back but i dont know how to do that.

I'm not sure that is what you really want to do.

I think that what you are after is to use TWRP to install the previous stock rooted rom that worked for you.

Please check the sticky thread of rom listings to get the download.

Were you flashing a particular ICS rom or trying to take the ICS OTA while rooted??

BTW, due to the time of night, I may not be able to respond further until tomorrow, sorry.

Also - Sprint or GSM version of the 3D?

anybody have any suggestions on what to do?

i dont care if i lose the root i just wanna be able to use my phone

please and thank you

OK your thread is a little confusing, so I will see if we can get to the bottom on this for you..

You say you unlocked your phone and then you decided to take the ICS OTA Update, is that correct ?? If yes that is your issue, when rooted it is not suggested to take any OTA's

Now if this is the case, then you most likely lost root to your phone, and are now on HBoot 1.58 with the new baseware. so as far as I know you have 2 options

1-Since you took the OTAand if you are unlocked. Flash twrp 2.2.0 (directions are on their site), then flash a custom rooted ROM. Since you are s-on, you will have to flash the kernel properly (using fastboot or flash image GUI). I recommend you get s-off.

2- You should flash stock recovery to your device. then take the OTA .
if it does not work, lock your Bootloader after flashing stock recovery , then take OTA, then update to the OTA 4.0

Don B- i have got my phone back to work, i locked it and ran RUU and it boots like before.
